Claudio Graziosi – English version

1977
March 22, Rome
Claudio Graziosi, 20 years old, Public Security Guard

He was killed on March 22 aboard an ATAC bus in Rome, by a terrorist from the NAP, Nuclei Armati Proletari. At 11 p.m. that evening the Graziosi guard was, free from service, on board a bus of line 27 that went along Viale Trastevere towards Monte Verde Nuovo. He recognized in one of the passengers, a young blonde woman, Maria Pia Vianale a dangerous terrorist who had recently evaded from Pozzuoli prison. Graziosi, who was in aggregation in Rome with his own department, approached the driver and, after qualifying, asked him to head to the nearest police station. The driver headed towards the command of the Traffic Police of Via Volpato, on the Gianicolense, but the passengers began to protest, forcing Graziosi to qualify and try to block the suspicion. A second terrorist, Antonio Lo Muscio, arrived behind the policeman, shooting him in the back. The two terrorists fled in the direction of the railway bridge in via Portuense. Dozens of police and Carabinieri crews were active in their search and, in a subsequent shooting, the zoophile guard Aldo Cerrai was accidentally killed. On July 1, the terrorists were involved in a firefight with the military of the Carabinieri in front of the church of San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome. The man was killed, while the woman was arrested along with an accomplice.
